Description of Yoga

Warm Vinyasa:

Vinyasa is a dynamic and energizing style of yoga that is practiced in a heated room. This style of yoga combines flowing movements with breathwork to create a continuous, fluid sequence of poses. The heat helps to increase flexibility, detoxify the body, and deepen the practice. Warm Vinyasa is a great way to build strength, increase stamina, and cultivate mindfulness while also providing a sense of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Hot Vinyasa:

Step into the heat for this intense powerful flow 75 minute experience. Radiant flooring heats up the room to 88-92 degrees for greater flexibility and detoxifying benefits. Leave feeling cleansed, with a greater sense of clarity. Please bring water and towels and hydrate well before and after class.

Vinyasa Flow:

The word "vinyasa" means "ordered, conscious placement," so as we practice the yoga asana (postures), we consciously link breath with movement and in so doing, we bring the body and the mind into harmony.

Students are invited to explore and deepen their practice with detailed alignment instruction, suggestions for modifications and use of props.

Focusing on intentional and mindful movement, alignment, and breath work, these classes are suitable for all levels of experience. Come as you are.

Beginners Yoga:

Beginner's yoga is a class focused on the foundation of yoga pose, breath work, and mindful movement. This class is appropriate for new students and students who are looking to deepen your practice.

Slow Flow Yoga:

This class is perfect for any yogi wanting that sweet spot between a strong flow and a beginner’s class. Options will be given so each student can challenge themselves, while allowing more time in the poses and the transitions. The slower pace builds strength through holding poses and brings a deep awareness to each individual pose. This class is also a great introduction to our faster passed vinyasa offerings.

Restorative Yoga:

Restorative yoga meditation is a gentle and calming practice that combines restorative yoga poses with mindfulness meditation techniques. In this practice, the body is fully supported by props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, allowing for deep relaxation and release of tension. The focus is on slowing down, tuning inward, and finding stillness in both the body and mind.

During a restorative yoga meditation session, practitioners are guided to connect with their breath, cultivate present moment awareness, and let go of any physical or mental tension. This practice promotes deep relaxation, stress relief, and a sense of inner peace. It is a wonderful way to recharge and rejuvenate the body and mind, leaving practitioners feeling refreshed, restored, and balanced.

Yoga Nidra:

Yoga Nidra, also known as "yogic sleep," is a form of guided meditation and deep relaxation practice that induces a state of conscious deep sleep. During a Yoga Nidra session, practitioners are guided through a systematic relaxation technique that helps them enter a state of deep relaxation while remaining conscious and aware.

The practice typically involves lying down in a comfortable position and following the instructions of the facilitator, who guides the practitioner through a series of body scans, breath awareness, visualization, and mindfulness techniques. The goal of Yoga Nidra is to reach a state of deep relaxation where the body and mind can release tension, stress, and emotional blockages.

Yoga Nidra is known for its therapeutic benefits, including reducing stress, anxiety, and insomnia, as well as improving focus, creativity, and overall well-being. It is a powerful practice for rejuvenating the body, calming the mind, and restoring balance on a physical, mental, and emotional level.

Hatha Yoga:

Hatha-style yoga class that integrates pranayama (breathwork), alignment, strength, flexibility, and meditation to promote overall physical and mental well-being. This class caters to

experienced beginners and seasoned practitioners, featuring a slower pace than

Vinyasa, with postures held for longer periods to build core strength and flexibility. Expect a comprehensive practice that includes chanting (rhythmic and melodic repetition of specific words, phrases, or sounds, often in a meditative context), sun salutations,

strengthening postures, deep stretches, meditation, and an emphasis on different pranayama (breathing) techniques. Postures are practiced with various options to accommodate different skill levels, allowing each student to find their balance between effort

and ease.

Warm Deep Stretch Yin:

This warm Yin Yoga is a quiet contemplative practice. Yin works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. Yin targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body – rather than the muscles (which are the physical focus of Yang yoga practices). Energetically, Yin improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits.
